Groundlab's studio was an project providing a creative design studio within a bright orange shipping container! It was developed for the Sincil Bank community by the University of Lincoln in collaboration with the city of Lincoln Council.

The space also operated as a community drop-in design forum for residents where we exchanged ideas, developed, tested and built projects over a few years. This helped to grow community collaboration in the Sincil Bank area of the city.

We worked with resident groups and other stakeholders on a range of projects, in particular projects that had a focus on placemaking and public space.

Other projects ranged from small scale urban park spaces, installations, pop-up spaces and street furniture, to larger scale building of architecture and masterplan proposals.
